Overview
Jessica Gordon is a solicitor advocate specialising in complex commercial litigation and international arbitration. She advises and represents clients across a broad range of sectors, including financial services, energy, aviation and life sciences, with particular experience in high-value, cross-border disputes. Jessica represents clients before the English High Court and Commercial Court, and in arbitrations conducted under the rules of leading institutions including the LCIA and ICC.
Before joining Napier Sterling, Jessica practised at a leading US law firm in London, with international secondments to their offices in Brussels and Singapore. Jessica has acted for aviation lessor policyholders in relation to multibillion-dollar claims amid the Ukraine conflict, and investment funds in relation to several securities litigation claims under Section 90A of the UK Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Her experience in Singapore included advising clients on disputes in the telecommunications, investment, oil and gas and property sectors, including arbitrations under the SIAC and UNCITRAL Rules.

Representing major aircraft leasing companies and policyholders in multibillion-dollar English High Court and Commercial Court recovery claims against international reinsurers arising from the retention of aircraft following the conflict in Ukraine.
Acting for investment funds in multimillion-pound securities litigation claims under section 90A of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
Advising a major oil and gas company in an LCIA arbitration concerning a contractual dispute and challenge to arbitral jurisdiction in connection with the construction of a floating offshore oil rig.
Representing an agricultural company in a GAFTA arbitration concerning breach of contract, together with subsequent award enforcement and challenges to a High Court freezing injunction.
Representing a bank successfully in a section 68 challenge in the Commercial Court.
Advising an investment firm on obtaining default judgment and the documentation required for enforcement abroad.
Advising on freezing injunctions, receivership orders, restrictions on property and the management and administration of BVI companies.
Jessica is committed to pro bono work and supports local charities. She has also worked with an international non-governmental organisation that partners with local justice systems around the world to combat violence and human trafficking.
